Swallowtail Print's Beautiful Brochures September Edition
Posted 23rd September 2013
It’s been a while since the last edition of Swallowtail Print’s Beautiful Brochures. In that time we’ve come across some incredible examples of brochure printing and design in action. In this edition, we’ll be showcasing four diverse examples of great print design for you to take ideas and inspiration from.
McAllen Data Centre Branding Campaign
The first great example of print design is from the McAllen Data Centre Branding campaign, by Lucas Gomez Freige, a visual communications designer from La Plata, Argentina.
McAllen DC is a large hosting provider that offer hosting services to their clients, which they handle from their data centres across the world. Lucas was tasked with developing a strong corporate brand that reflected the core values of McAllen, which were trust, stability and efficiency.
This piece of design is really cool and has managed to transform what many may consider a rather mundane and uninteresting service, into an exciting looking read. The perfect blend of professionalism and corporate responsibility with cool visuals and that futuristic tech look! A great example of brochure printing in action.
Wildlife Victoria
Wildlife Victoria is an organisation that supports and protects endangered animals in Australia. Wildlife Victoria was in need a rebrand to strengthen their brand and image, so they approached Norway based graphic designer Vibeke Illevold to help them achieve this goal.
Vibeke decided to use a well-known Australian road sign as the centre piece of her campaign, combining the colours orange and blue, to signify danger and a more corporate look respectively.
This is a great example of how brochure printing can help an organisation achieve its corporate goals more effectively.
Minimal Eyes
Minimal Eyes is a brochure design template that was created by graphic designer Tony Huynh, of Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
The Minimal Eyes design is a great example of how a clean, minimal approach is often a lot more striking and effective than cluttered page design with too many elements and colours. The white space actually further accentuates the images and designs throughout the brochure, rather than detracting from them. This would be a great design template for any corporate, professional brands, or for those who value simplicity and clarity of communication. Yet another great example of brochure printing in action.
Arabic
The final piece of brochure design we’ll be showcasing is entitled Arabic. Arabic is a refreshing approach to brochure design, by Ahmad Kattan, a graphic designer working for Damascus based graphic design outfit Dawn Creative.
This design combines vivid colours and imagery to create an arid, Arabic design style. This would be a great design pattern to emulate, or incorporate, for a travel and tourism based business, or for any business looking to create the perception of luxury.
Arabic is a fine example of brochure printing in action, and what can be achieved with a good brief and a creative mind!
